First IPA Congress to convene in Johannesburg, South Africa; to be held in August 4-9, 2010
GENEVA, SWITZERLAND, March 09, 2010 /Medical PR News/ -- The International Pediatric Association (IPA) is proud to announce that its 26th International Congress of Pediatrics will be held in Johannesburg, South Africa at the Sandton Convention Centre, August 4 - 9, 2010. This will be the first IPA Congress held in sub-Saharan Africa, which is to be held under the auspices of the International Pediatric Association (IPA), the South African Paediatric Association (SAPA), and the Union of African Paediatric Societies and Associations (UNAPSA).
Keith Bolton, IPA 2010 Congress President stated, "With six months to go the 26th IPA International Congress of Pediatrics is on track to be a great success. The organizing committee has spent the last few months travelling around the globe promoting the congress at a number of regional events, and there is a huge amount of interest in attending. 2010 is an important milestone for IPA because this is the year we celebrate our Centenary. We can't wait to welcome one and all to Johannesburg."
The 26th International Congress of Pediatrics will present a fascinating scientific program to fulfill the needs of every participant, with a wide spectrum of the latest information, ranging from the most cutting-edge science to the challenges facing our least endowed. Occurring just five years before the due date of the Millennium Development Goals, with their target of reducing child mortality by two thirds by 2015, this congress will provide crucial insight into vital issues of child health throughout the world.
