Dana Eklund Recognized for Excellence in Dog Training and Invention for Dog Training

Dana Eklund has developed a training card game for dogs, intended for home use

WEST KELOWNA, BC, CANADA, September 02, 2011 /Medical PR News/ -- Dana Eklund, Master Dog Trainer for Pawsitive Choices, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in dog training.

Ms. Eklund possesses a passion for dog training; so much, in fact, that she transformed her hobby into a successful career. For the past two decades, she has been a Master Dog Trainer and owner of Pawsitive Choices. With expertise in communicating with dogs, she works in building relationships between canine and human on her own property and performs rehabilitation work for dogs with local rescue groups, shelters and Regional Dog Control. She has also developed a training card game for dogs involving basic obedience, advanced obedience, tricks, outdoor activites and more, with thousands of task combinations, intended for home use by an individual or group of people and their dogs. Her goal was to provide a training solution to the average dog owner that would allieviate expense, time, travel and the dangers of being in classes with other challenging dogs. The training game is suitable for all ages and even contains hand signals for the hearing impaired to work with their dogs.

With a total of 30 years of professional experience, Ms. Eklund is a Certified Master Dog Trainer, Certified Obedience Trainer, and Certified Veterinary Assistant. Aside from various canine education, she also holds certifications in supervisory skills, conflict resolution, first aid, and has had involvement with the Okanagan Small Dog Rescue Society and local BCSPCA shelters. Her numerous professional affiliations include being a Provincial Court appointed expert in dog rehabilitation, assessments and behaviours, and has been a member of the Canada Kennel Club and Canadian Association of Professional Pet Dog Trainers. In the years to come, Ms. Eklund aspires to expand Pawsitive Choices on a national level and increase the general public's knowledge about how to develop a respectful relationship with the canine world.
