David C. Watts Recognized for Excellence in Rural Medicine

Mr. Watts, medical student, aspires to provide good health care to the underprivileged in small communities

    GILBERT, AZ, September 19, 2011 /Medical PR News/ -- David C. Watts, Medical Student at A. T. Still University, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in rural medicine.

Mr. Watts is pursuing a career in medicine with a particular mission: he aspires to serve the underprivileged in rural areas. He is a medical student at A.T. Still University, where he is pursuing a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. His studies focus on rural medicine. In addition to learning, Mr. Watts works at various community clinics, utilizing his expertise in internal, emergency and family rural medicine. He attributes his success to having a good foundation, strong leadership skills and drive. Mr. Watts plans to graduate from medical school in the near future, complete a residency and train to provide good health care to small communities.

In 2007, Mr. Watts graduated from Arizona State University with a bachelor's degree in biochemistry. His professional affiliations include the American Medical Student Association, The Student Osteopathic Medical Association, and Sigma Sigma Phi, an honorary osteopathic service fraternity. Mr. Watts is also a member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation Inc. and National Rifle Association; he enjoys the outdoors, hunting, fishing, scuba diving, boating and working out in his free time.
