Paul Loveric specializes in medical and surgical nursing, as well as medical rehabilitation, neurology, geriatrics and urology

BUFFALO, NY, September 06, 2011 /Medical PR News/ -- Paul T. Loveric, Licensed Practical Nurse for VA Medical Center, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in nursing.

Mr. Loveric is an individual who takes the health care profession seriously, even when he is not officially on duty. This attribute was proven in an instance in which he attended to the needs of a 9-year-old child in a restaurant who was choking, while simultaneously calming the child's parents. In fact, he ventured into nursing while serving his country in the U.S. Army Reserves and working in the 865th evac hospital unit. Throughout his career, he has cultivated his expertise in medical and surgical nursing, as well as medical rehabilitation, neurology, geriatrics and urology.

Mr. Loveric utilizes his skills as a licensed practical nurse for VA Medical Center. He is tasked with attending to the care of medical and surgical patients and also providing care to patients in the progressive care unit. This includes managing IV therapy, wound care, medication, DHT and peg-feed therapy, as well as performing electrocardiograms and tracheotomy care for patients on ventilation machines. Mr. Loveric provides a clean and safe environment for patients, staff and family members, ensures accurate patient shift documentation and percepts newly hired LPNs.

Attributing his success to the support of his family and friends, Mr. Loveric holds a registration certificate in licensed practical nursing. He has also attained certificates of completion in pediatric training, a ventilator course and an 'Investing in Your Future' nursing program. In recognition of his work, he was recently named a VIP of the year by Cambridge Who's Who. This special distinction follows a number of formal recognitions that Mr. Loveric has received. A few of his most recent honors include a Performance Award for Significantly Contributing to the Mission of the Department and Exceeding Performance, Secretary's Award for Excellence in Nursing and Advancement of Nursing Programs, Recognition Award for Quality of Care, Courtesy and Timeliness of Service. In the years to come, Mr. Loveric plans to continue in his profession and grow professionally.
