Diabetic starts non-profit foundation to raise awareness and find a cure for Diabetes.
ROCKAWAY, NJ, January 07, 2012 /Medical PR News/ -- Type-1 diabetic William Sisca, who was diagnosed with diabetes at the age of 13, has started the F.A.C.T Foundation. The non-profit organization is dedicated to finding a cure for him and the millions of other type-1 diabetics, and to also help the countless type-2 patients educate themselves on how to prevent or reverse this epidemic.
"It just felt like something I had to do," says Sisca, on starting the non-profit foundation. "People do not know a lot about it and how badly it can affect your daily life. We need to find a cure, and we will."
By selling their branded awareness gear, such as t-shirts and message bands, donations, and local sponsored events, the F.A.C.T foundation is committed to finding a cure for diabetes through their fundraising, research, and determination.
Sisca lives in Great Meadows, New Jersey, with his wife Jenny, their young son Bradie, and their dog Blue.
